ABC Mini Task
Karl Blossfeldt

Karl Blossfeldt who died in 1932 was a German photographer who is known for the close-up images of plants and flora. He was trained as a sculptor and he was also an amateur botanist. He was fascinated by the structures of nature. He created his own type of camera lens to be able to get very close to the plants and keep extreme detail. Karl's Photos look like they have some sort of sepia tone, so i matched this with my ABC mini task. I added the sepia filter after all the photos were together to give it the skin coloured effect. My ABC mini task all follows a theme of things you can find in a work shop.
Existing found alphabets
Chelsea Sektnan found this alphabet around a construction site. I like this because the letters are not obvious when they are in a single picture but when they are all put together in a one it does look like an alphabet. For example the letter Q out of the second image just looks like a clock on its own but when its placed next to all the other letters it forms an alphabet which doesn't look that bad.
Edits
I used pages to crop and align my photos. This was a good program to use as it allows you to drag the images around freely and easily edit them. At the end I took a screen shot of it and added a sepia / black and white filter on to make it continue a theme of Karl Blossfeldt.
